Sherrills Ford is an unincorporated community and former census-designated place in Catawba County, North Carolina. It is a small town located west of Mooresville with waterfront homes, beautiful trees, stunning sunsets, great waterviews and very nice people who greet you on the streets. Sherrills Ford Elementary School is one of the best schools in the county. As of 2014, its population is 5,440. Since 2000, it has had a population growth of 32.42 percent.
The Village of Sherrills Ford is a new shopping center that recently opened. It is a mixed use project consisted of 206 acres on the shoreline of Lake Norman. The site has over 5,000 feet of frontage on Hwy 150 West and the red light intersection of Slanting Bridge Road.
